"The editorial process was very efficient and friendly. It was very beneficial to undertake this review piece on my own sub-field and to pitch it to an undergraduate audience. Usually we press forward with our own research, so I enjoyed taking the time to consider how best to present recent and possible future developments in my field for non-specialists."
Ann S. Blum

Many thanks for your message and the offprint—delighted we got there in the end! I have recommended History Compass to my library and will keep encouraging. Good luck with the journal. The development of such online resources is clearly the way ahead, and History Compass seems to me to be ahead of the game.
Max Jones
University of Manchester
Publishing with History Compass has been a valuable experience on several fronts. The editorial board and the staff at History Compass are first-rate, and I was impressed by the efficiency with which my manuscript made its way through the publication process. The article I submitted to History Compass was the first published academic work of my career, and the pace of History Compass’ editorial process was reassuring. Given the pressures of pre-tenure reviews and evaluations that new faculty members face, there is an enormous pressure to get work published. Where other journals and volumes can take months, if not longer, to make their way to press, History Compass produces peer-reviewed and quality scholarship on a timeline that assures pre-tenure faculty of published work in a timely fashion. More importantly, History Compass has proven to be a remarkable forum where the notion that scholarship and teaching are referential practices gains real traction.
Tillman Nechtman
Skidmore College

Jon May and the referees were very constructive. The turn around time between acceptance of the manuscript and receipt of proofs is faster than average, and the fact that work gets published online quickly a big advantage, in contrast to many other journals in the field. I very much enjoyed writing the review piece for Geography Compass. For me, the invitation to submit a survey of current research provided an opportunity for me to become acquainted with the latest research taking place in one of my areas of interest, and to critically think about the prospective directions for future studies in this field. Identifying these areas has expanded my own interests beyond what they were originally. The entire process was quite efficient and straightforward, with clear and timely communication between me, the editor, and other members of the publishing team throughout.
